yes definatley, creme fraiche half fat, not sure if you can get it in the states though but thats what i use here in the uk. good luck.
Try evaporated skim milk.
they sell a non fat milk that tastes like 2 % hood and a fewother suppliers make it
Creme Fraise is your best option
