A recipe for a THICK milkshake WITHOUT ice, ice-cream or ANY freezing/chilling?

I've found hundreds of recipes for THICK milkshakes but they all require ice, ice-cream or freezing. I remember buying packets of instant milkshake from the supermarket and just adding milk for a really thick milkshake, but I can't find any on sale anymore. There must be a way of making a thick milkshake at home without ice, ice-cream or freezing. If anybody knows how please give your recipe. Many thanks!A recipe for a THICK milkshake WITHOUT ice, ice-cream or ANY freezing/chilling?

Milk and lots of fresh fruit, but you need a blender. Good luck!
Wow, I had totally forgotten about that stuff! You just brought back some childhood memories :) Carnation used to make ';Instant Breakfast'; that came in small envelopes, and there was another brand called Great Shakes which came in triangular/pyramid shaped cones. They also had a brown plastic cup with lid to shake 'em in....

If you can't find any instant in your store, try using instant pudding mix, but double the milk. Or mail-order some instant mix online :)

Hey look,Carnation still makes it --%26gt;http://www.nestle-nutrition.com/Family.a鈥?/a>

Oh yeah, and I just remembered Borden's milk; they made an instant milkshake. Maybe they still do. Try Ebay or something...

Hope that helps- Now get shakin'! :D
Add appropriate flavored yogurt, fresh fruit %26amp; blend.

Take a frozen banana, milk, vanilla extract, and sugar if you desire, blend and Bob's your uncle, you have a thick milkshake. The banana acts as a thickener and when you freeze it, it thickens the liquid even more.
dbl, cream (1/2tub), sugar (to taste), strawberry (crusha)(2 t/spoons or as desired),1/4 pt full fat milk, real strawberry fruits(4-6)

in blender until required consistency(add more milk, cream until thick as needed-add crusha ,strawberry fruits for your own taste needs)

serve in a tall glass with a sprig of mint and spoon.(enjoy)
milk, fruit, chocolate, and yogurt. The yogurt makes it thick and creamy and healthy!!!
Here are a few combinations to try :

Peanut Butter Cup Milkshake - with peanut butter cups and chocolate syrup

Jello Milkshake - with any flavor jello and vanilla ice cream

Chocolate Cherry Milkshake - with cherries and chocolate syrup

Chunky Monkey Milkshake - with bananas and chocolate chips
You can use a thickener like guar gum but that by itself won't give it any flavor.
I use Angel Delight powder with a pint of milk to make a lovely thick milk shake.
I think what you are talking about is called pudding.
3/4 cup cold milk

1 tablespoon vanilla instant pudding mix

1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

Place all of the ingredients in a blender.

Process for about 20 seconds or until smooth and frothy.

Serve in a glass with a straw.
banana will make it thick
check out http://www.dailyrecipe.info . they have 1000's of recipes
The product you bought MIGHT have contained rennet powder. Renin is a thickener and is the main component in Junket tablets, which, when blended in milk, make it thicken when refrigerated.

You can still get Junket Brand Rennet tablets. You can blend them with milk, and, if you want a fruit flavored shake, blend in some frozen fruit or berries.

You DO NEED to REFRIGERATE the blended product, however, to get the really good taste. Chilling enhances the flavor and the thickness.
