Why does my sour cream get gross water stuff in it after being in the fridge?

Has it been in there too long? Is it just mine? Does yours do that also? the expersiation date isn't until Aug of 08'Why does my sour cream get gross water stuff in it after being in the fridge?
just stir the sour creamWhy does my sour cream get gross water stuff in it after being in the fridge?
It is sour CREAM. Remember that when cream comes out of the cow that it floats on top of the milk in a vat. They skim off the cream and are left with whole milk. The Cream and the water in the cream (sour cream in this case) do not want to remain homogenized together. Hence, the water separates from the sour cream. Stir it up and eat it, it is fine provided the freshness date is not passed.

Think about this: If it is sour cream, why does it need a freshness date?
the minerals in the sour cream seperate after a while because of their density. if it was expired you would smell something different and you could tell. just mix it up and it will go back to normal
yea. its ok. if you want it to stop doing that and for it to taste even better n be creamier, add some milk and a lil bit of salt. then stir.
just stir it up... and most likely it will go away... everything collects water
yogurt does that to. as long as the date is good. stir it up and enjoy!
the ingredients separate just stir it
