After making ice cream, can I throw the water with rock salt down the drain?

i assume you can yes.. or throw it down the toilet. rock salt will disolve .... at least your not pouring paint thinner down your drain.. i wouldnt worry too much about it .After making ice cream, can I throw the water with rock salt down the drain?
Why not?

You could throw it on your lawn. After making ice cream, can I throw the water with rock salt down the drain?
it wouldn't be the smartest thing because it could build up like limescale but you can
dunno. we've always just thrown it outside (on rocks).
Here is my policy. Anything that fits down that hole in the sink is some other persons problem. Sometimes I have to use great force to fit large items into the disposal but I have never had a problem.
A plumber told me that flushing rock salt down the toilet was good. Helped keep the pipes clean.
No problem, it's only salt water.
Depends on if you have a septic tank or not, if you do it is not a good idea, if you are on a public sewer system then it's ok.
Flush it, it will dissolve sooner or later any way..thanks for 2.
yes
we did that in club XD

umm...

i think we drained the water and threw the salt
Yes, you might have to run a lot of water on it to get it to go down. Take it out to the street and lay it over a stormwater drain or throw it in your backyard if you don't want to waste water.
It is better to throw it down the sink than outside in the yard. Living in a hurricane zone, we know that salt will kill grass and plants.
Yes you should have any problem with it
Looking at some of these answers scares me, no do not throw it in the drain, put the salt in your trash and pour the water out but dilute it, The salt will resolidify and clog your drain, if you pour it on your lawn it will kill it, if you put it on concrete it will eat a hole in it, or cause spalling. Good luck
