Why is ice cream so expensive?

I went to the grocery store today and it's almost $5 for a half gallon and around $9 for a gallon. I'm just kind of curious!!Why is ice cream so expensive?
Because gas is expensive. The price of transporting milk to a plant and then to stores, all while keeping it cold has raised the price. At least the price of ice cream hasn't almost tripled like the price of gas has the last three years. Why is ice cream so expensive?
Because it's soo good. You have to buy it when it goes on sale. Check your supermarket circulars regularly. I usually buy Turkey Hill when it goes on sale $5.00 for two half gallons.
Hmmm i only pay $1.99 for mine. What kind of ice cream do you buy for that price?!
Because it's so darned delicious. Ice Cream is the most scrumptious stuff since oh, EVER! It's the food of the gods. It's scrumdidlyumptious. It's supreme. It's sinfully tempting. It's beautiful perfection in an ugly carton. Ok, you get the drift, don't even get me started on ice cream.
I've noticed the same thing. It's because the price of milk is going up because the price of feeding the cows or the farm is going up. it's a chain reaction.
I don't know, but milk prices have gone up, probably causing ice cream prices to do the same.
sometimes they have sales so that you can get half gallon for $2. You have a Giant Grocery Store in your area? They usually have a good deal. Perhaps one of the reasons for the added costs is because it cost money to keep it frozen.
cause it's soooooo good! :)~
Look how much you have to pay for a gallon of milk. All dairy prices are high.
It's probably the same reason milk is expensive.
The price of milk is going up.
We're told that the increased price of milk results in the increased price of ice cream, and other milk-based products. Yes, it does pain us to have to pay so high a price, especially $4.00 a gallon for skim milk. Ouch!!!!!!
